This hunting season, the Tri-Cities Chapter of QDMA needs your help in the battle to fight hunger in our area.   Our QDMA chapter is planning to cover the professional processing expenses for deer that will be donated to our local Second Harvest Food Banks (www.netfoodbank.org and www.swvafoodbank.org).  We are combining our efforts with Benham’s Meat Processing in Bristol , Virginia (276-669-0766) to make this project possible.  

We desperately need your help to make this program a success!!  Our goal is to donate at least 20 processed deer to the Second Harvest Food Banks.   If you are a current QDMA member or a friend of a member and would like to donate any of the deer you take this season, please contact Sean Mullins (423-646-1813) or one of our other QDMA branch officers to obtain a Feeding the Hungry deer processing card.  This card will be attached to the donated deer along with your kill tag when it is taken to Benham’s Meat Processing.  After you drop off your deer, the rest will be taken care of by our organization.

What a great way to help those in our community by doing something that we all love to do—Hunt!!  If you are lucky enough to take a deer this season, please consider those that are less fortunate and donate your deer to help feed the hungry in our area.
